A new program to combat stress

This time we’re writing a blog in English, which is something we don’t do often.
The reason is that we like to share the story of Marina Chêne, one of Tula’s teachers, and she’s not Dutch.

Marina is our burn-out expert and lovely teacher of Yin Yoga classes.
Her vibrant energy and positive character translate into wonderful classes and really happy yogis.

But, this wasn’t always the situation.
Marina has become a burn-out expert by experiencing it herself and studying the phenomenon thoroughly afterwards.
With all her insights and experience she created a stress relief program with her own method. The SWEEP method.

6-week Stress Relief Program

We’re incredibly happy that Marina will deliver this 6-week Stress Relief Program at Tula as well. It is a perfect timing, because we got quite some reaction to our latest post about ‘yoga bij burn-out’.

We believe that with this program we can help yogis who are in a burn-out situation, or those who feel they’re running towards a burn-out. Also, if you’re experiencing chronic stress or when life is just too short for everything you want to do, then this program is great for you.

The main take-away of this program is that you will be able to create & communicate healthy boundaries, finding space into a busy life, supporting your recovery & healing process and releasing tension in the body and mind.

Moreover, as we wrote earlier the purpose of this blog is to introduce Marina.
So, here goes…

“Do you know the teddy bear toy of the Duracell commercial with batteries in the back, walking like a robot and stopping all of a sudden?

Well, that was me…  One day I was a high achiever, full of enthusiasm, living life to the max every single day – the next I was a zombie with no purpose in life.

In 2018, I had a huge burn out, one of those that does not go away with a long vacation on a faraway white sandy beach….  I really thought I would stay down and disconnected for the rest of my life…

After a long hibernation, I searched endlessly for ways to end the agony. I looked everywhere on internet but no coach was really appealing to me and all the scientific research sounded super overwhelming to me. It took me ages to find methods and practices effective enough to have an effect on my mood and supported me to adapt a behaviour aligned with the little voice inside of me.

When I finally found them 😊, the Marina who loves life, people and a good laugh returned – this time with purpose!

Now, I am actually thankful for my burn out because I can share all these methods and practices with you in an easy and simple course. I am a yoga teacher spreading lightness, enthusiasm and optimism and will share with you how I turned my burnout and stress into a strength – so you can too.

So what is this 6 weeks program?
It is based on research and life experience, to reach joy and simplicity in your life.

It will teach you how to listen to the signals of your body, create an energizing healthy routine, and say yes to only what matters.

The group will be rather small with 10 participants to keep the program intimate and safe.
