Yin yoga is helping us physically, mentally as well as emotionally to stay grounded, healthy and experience real restfulness. In a yoga class gives you will practice all these qualities in an hour or so. This Immersion/Yin yoga Pre-Teacher Training gives an opportunity to immerse yourself much deeper.

In the distraction of every day life we yearn for peace, rest, calming of the nervous system and clarity. It is not alwasy easy to know how to stay balanced, focused and restfull in this fast paced and challenging world. Yin yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation are practices that can be truly transformative, when practiced regularly and are understood.

We invite you to go on a journey with us, to truly immerse yourself and deepen your practice and understanding. The immersion will leave you with all the tools needed to integrate Yin, Mindfulness & Meditation in your daily life. As well as the basic theoretical knowledge needed for integration and support practices.

Yin yoga

Yin yoga is a science of body-mind. As a health based practice, Yin yoga integrates fully the physical as well as the psychological effects of the practice: balm for the nervous system, soupleness in body, clearity of mind.


Mindfulness develops our compassion and knowledge of the way we are driven by our thinking. Non-judgmental and open-minded we learn to stay with our experience, exactly how it is. Mindfulness is deepening our self-knowledge enormously.


Meditation and mindfulness are intertwined. We will practice the ancient Buddhist meditation of breath awareness, concentration meditation and open awareness. We will cultivate stillness by practicing and learning how to deal with obstacles we come across.

Bringing practice and theory together

  • There will be lots of time practicing Yin yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation.
  • You will learn about the theory and background of Yin yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation.
  • You will learn and practice different pranayama’s.
  • We pay attention to the use of props and adapt the poses to our individual needs.
  • You will learn about connective tissue and why this is important in Yin yoga.
  • We will dive into the respiratory system, nervous system and stress response.
  • There will be support practices, for integration of all we do: journalling and self-inquiry.

A typical training day

  • 8.45 – 9.30: The space will be open to arrive and settle if you wish: to do some meditation, relaxation, gentle movements, quietness etc (from WKND 1/Day 2 on)
  • 9.30 – 11.30: Yin yoga practice
  • 11.30 – 12.30: Theory/Practicum
  • 12.30 – 13.15: Lunchbreak
  • 13.15 – 14.15: Theory/Practicum
  • 14.15 – 15.15: Mellow Flow & Yin practice based on the theme of the weekend
  • 15.15 – 16.30 Support practices
  • 16.30 – 17.00: Closing of the dayThere will be a short break after each practice period.

Your trainer, Eva de Hoijer (E-RYT 500)

Hi, my name is Eva and my passion is to introduce as many people as possible to all the good that yoga can bring.

Yoga and meditation came on my path when I went out into the world after my studies. In India I did my first yoga pose and after that, yoga never left my life again. After years of traveling, I returned to the Netherlands and worked in the business world for many years. At the same time, my yoga practice and my curiosity about the whole philosophy and theory of yoga deepened enormously. Yoga has been a part of my life for over 20 years now and has a great influence on how I feel and live.

I have studied many forms of yoga and have arrived at my great loves: Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation. Besides this I’m also a dedicated practitioner of Vinyasa yoga. I have been practicing, teaching and training for years now and have owned a yoga studio as well.

I am fascinated by the connection of body and mind and the interaction between them. My approach is modern, light, and positive. I feel the learning never stops!

My passion is to introduce people on a deeper level to all the benefits that yoga, mindfulness and meditation bring. To experience that regular practice brings lasting change for the good, both at a personal level as well in connection with the world around us. After this training, can I start teaching yoga myself?
This training is not a Yoga Teacher Training, so the answer is no unfortunately. In order to teach yoga classes you should have completed a registered 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training. However, this training is a great preparation for a 200hrs training!

Were will the training be held?
All the sessions will take place at Tula Bos en Lommer (Bos en Lommerplein 175, Amsterdam).

Will I get a certificate?
Yes you will receive a 50hrs. Tula yoga certificate after having completed this training.

I will miss one or more days of the training. Is it possible to make up the days in a next training?
Unfortunately it is not possible to make up missed days in a next training.

How many training days may be missed?
Of course we prefer you don’t miss a day, but if it happens you may miss one training day and still receive your certificate.

How much study time can I expect?
Besides the training days you may expect about 1 hour of studying per week.

Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included and will not be provided.
Please make sure to bring your own lunch or visit one of the many lunch spots around the corner.

For whom is this training?
The course is designed for all students of any level who feel the desire to take an in-depth path that can make them more aware of the profound aspects of the practice. If you are considering joining a Yoga Teacher Training to become a teacher, this course will provide you with the essential and fundamental knowledge that will allow you to start that path with greater confidence and awareness.
