Guest Mysore Teacher | Mauricio Victorica Carcasses
Gibran will be abroad in February & March 2019 and he has invited Mauricio to be our guest teacher during his absence. Mauricio Victorica Carcasses is a KPJAYI level 2 authorized teacher and some of you already know him, because he has been teaching Mysore in Amsterdam before.
This is an unique moment to practice with an inspiring teacher and we can not wait to welcome him.
A little about Mauricio
Because the inner explorative nature of yoga philosophy and meditation practices Mauricio got attracted to it in 1997. The practice of Hatha yoga oriented to meditation helped him to heal the consequences of an ignored childhood broken coccyx which kept the lumbar region with pain and restricted mobility. Meanwhile working in graphic design and advertising for 10 years in 2003 he discovered the meditation in movement of the ashtanga vinyasa yoga system. In 2005 he started travelling to the Ashtanga yoga institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore India almost each year to study with the late Patthabi jois, Saraswati and Sharath Jois. So far 11 times.
After several years of sustained practice and studies he realized that Ashtanga yoga should be shared as a life long practice not like race for postures or series and that all difficult asanas and vinyasas are just an excuse to remember us the love and calmness that abide inside us in despite of any external situation. Mauricio is an Authorized level 2 teacher and has been traveling teaching Mysore programs in different countries as Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, México, Costa Rica, Chile, Perú, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Philipines.
