This Ashtanga Yoga Apprenticeship Program is created for the new generation of yoga practitioners and professionals, with in-class training and accompanying study during workshops and private sessions.
Ashtanga yoga is a yoga style for which there are originally no teacher training programs. It’s a yoga style that is learned by experience and doing the actual practice. The really great Ashtanga Yoga teacher have years and years of experience practicing themselves and learning from masters, before stepping on the mat as yoga teacher.
We value this tradition and therefore we believe that the best way to become an ashtanga yoga teacher is by learning from and with other more experienced teachers. Therefore, we have created the Ashtanga apprenticeship program.
If you want to grow as an Ashtanga practitioner, elevate your own practice and your understanding of this practice method, this program will guide you. By learning from our Ashtanga Mysore lead-trainer Tina Rumenović you are getting the experience of mastering the teaching skills needed to lead your own classes and assist you students with confidence.
Be the new generation of Ashtanga professionals
This hands-on approach, which gives you the ability to assist in actual classes right away, will give you the understanding of the human body and its capabilities which is necessary to provide safe and secure assistance to the yogis.
This program is, unlike a regular yoga teacher training, taught to a maximum of 6 participants per program to ensure a high-quality training. This makes this program the most exclusive training program at Tula. We do this because we value the time and attention you need to study the postures, your own practice, different bodies and the possible assistance you can provide as a teacher.

Note from your trainer
Hi, my name is Tina, I am originally from Croatia, and have moved to The Netherlands for love in 2010. I am the lead Ashtanga teacher at Tula yoga studios and am running Ashtanga Mysore program there for almost 4 years, since the end of 2019. I have been a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner and have kept my daily practice for almost 9 years now, but have started diving deeper into the practice and study of yoga more than 16 years ago.
My daily sadhana (practice) and my teachers David Robson and Jelena Vesić are my main source of knowledge, who are direct students of Sharath Jois. I have studied with many reputable ashtanga teachers in the past, but have really found a deep human connection with David and Jelena and can proudly call them my teachers.
I have been practicing with David and Jelena for about 5 years now. I have done many trainings, retreats, workshops and intensives with them and I proudly share this knowledge further with my own students.
Since 2022 I have started to assist David & Jelena in several intensives and retreats in Europe and I continue to learn regularly from them as much as possible making several trips per year to practice with them in person, as well as weekly online practice with them when they are not traveling.
In February 2024 I am going to make my first trip to Myosre India, to practice with Sharath Jois himself, at Sharath Yoga Institute, who is the current Ashtanga Yoga lineage holder and the main authority in Ashtanga. He is the grandson of Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga yoga.
I really look forward to sharing my decade long study of Ashtanga yoga, and can’t wait to meet you and guide you on your path of sharing this practice with the world too.
